Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today left for Bihar's capital Patna to provide financial assistance to the families of Indian soldiers who were martyred in the Galwan Valley in 2020. Rao will also provide financial assistance to the kin of 12 workers from Bihar who died in a fire accident here recently. After reaching Patna, he will also meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and during this time he will also discuss future national politics.
Rao will discuss the national agenda with CM Nitish
Rao's proposed visit assumes significance as his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar recently broke away from the NDA and formed the government under a 'mahagathbandhan' with RJD, Congress, CPI-ML (L), CPI, CPI(M), and the Hum. During the meeting, the two leaders will discuss future national politics.
Rao will give Rs 10 lakh to each family of the martyred soldiers.
Rao will hand over checks of Rs 10 lakh to each family of the martyred soldiers and Rs 5 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased migrant workers. Rao had announced support to the families of 19 jawans who were martyred in the Galwan Valley conflict in 2020. The Telangana government had earlier extended support to Colonel Santosh Babu of the southern state, who was martyred in the clashes.
This is the meeting of two daydreaming leaders: Sushil Modi
Taking a jibe at the meeting of the two leaders, Modi said that it is a meeting of leaders who are losing their support base in their respective states and aspirants to become Prime Minister. Talking to reporters, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Modi said that this is a meeting of two daydreamer leaders, who do not stay anywhere in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He termed the meeting as the latest comedy show of opposition unity.
Recently, Nitish Kumar broke away from the BJP by breaking away from the National Democratic Alliance. He later joined hands with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and Left parties and formed a grand coalition government in the state. The BJP had termed this political reversal as a betrayal of the public and an insult to the mandate.
