On the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, vaccination is going on in the country at a record pace and till 1.30 pm, more than 1 crore people have been vaccinated against corona. It is believed that by this evening more than 20 million people can get the dose in a day. This is the fourth time within a month that more than 1 crore vaccines have been administered in a day.
A senior health official has told on Twitter that on the birthday of PM Modi, 42 thousand people are being vaccinated every minute, or 700 people per second. Health Ministry sources say that at this speed 25 million vaccines can be administered today. The government has also installed a real-time tracker on the Cowin portal, which is updating every moment, with a target of 2 crore vaccines on PM Modi's 71st birthday. Till 2:50 pm, 1 crore 35 lakh people have got the vaccine.
National Health Authority chief RS Sharma shared the real-time tracker on Twitter and wrote, "Celebrating the tireless efforts of India's vaccinated against COVID-19. We have installed a tracker to show the vaccinations happening in real-time. At this time our speed is 42 thousand per minute or 700 per second.
In the outline prepared by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the birthday celebrations of PM Modi, vaccination is the most important. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted on Thursday, "Come do the vaccine service and give a birthday gift to (PM Modi) those who have not taken the dose yet by getting them vaccinated." To achieve the goal, BJP prepared health volunteers. So that maximum people get vaccinated today.
