Because of the increasing cases of coronavirus, restrictions in Mumbai have been extended till January 15. Now restrictions on going to public places will also remain in force. The administration said in its order that the restrictions under Section 144 of CrPC in Mumbai have been extended till January 15. Mumbai Police has prohibited citizens from visiting beaches, open fields, promenades, parks or similar public places from 5 pm to 5 am (12 hours).

Mumbai also saw a huge jump in corona infections once again with 3,671 cases, which is 46 percent more than the day before.
