Lucknow, March 20 (IANS) BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will hold 'chai-par-charcha' discussions across 281 places in Uttar Pradesh Thursday evening, said party leaders adding that Modi will interact with farmers and discuss their issues.
Modi will also discuss through video-conferencing policies which the party proposes to enforce if voted to power.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders said the discussion organised by the BJP Kisan Morcha and Citizens for Accountable Governance, would be held in three phases -- batayiye (tell), poochiye (ask) and sujhaiye (suggest).
BJP leaders told IANS that the party was focussing on farmers in the state as a potential voting class and exploring ways of tapping it.
"The BJP has always been a well wisher of the farmers who are disenchanted with the ruling Samajwadi Party in the state and it is natural for them to look towards the BJP and Modi," said Vijay Bahadur Pathak, BJP spokesman in the state.
