The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicted that heavy rains are likely to continue over the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry for the next three days. Many parts of Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are likely to receive thunderstorms on Friday. It rained in isolated parts of Kerala and Mahe on Thursday. Giving weather information, IMD said that rain and thundershowers are very likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, and Kerala and Mahe between November 05 and 07.

According to the Meteorological Department, a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from November 4 and adjoining plains from November 5. Snowfall was also witnessed in the hilly areas from November 5 to 7. IMD said that from November 6 to 7 there may be snowfall in Uttarakhand with light rain.
