Due to the death of more than one hundred and fifty people due to the collapse of the suspension bridge in Morbi, there is grief all over the country including Gujarat. PM Narendra Modi himself is very sad and he is reaching Morbi today to take stock, but amidst the mourning, there has been a ruckus due to the media report of Rang Rogan of Government Hospital in Morbi. The opposition has objected to this.

 

A media report has claimed that after midnight on Monday, the Morbi Hospital was painted so that PM Modi would look clean when he came to take stock. A TV channel report said that a few hours before the PM's visit, the hospital was being transformed. It is reported that the walls and roofs of the hospital have been curled up. New coolers have been installed.

 

Let us inform you, 134 people died and more than 100 people were injured in different hospitals due to the collapse of the cable or swing bridge on Sunday. PM Modi is scheduled to meet the civilian injured on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, another media report said that the company that repaired the bridge was not named in the FIR registered after the Morbi accident. A video of the incident site has also surfaced today. Rescue operations are going on in the river for the third day after the accident. The police have arrested nine people so far.

 

State mourning in Gujarat tomorrow

One day of state mourning has been declared in Gujarat. According to the Chief Minister's Office, a state mourning has been announced in the state on Wednesday due to the Morbi bridge accident.

 

Petition filed in Supreme Court regarding the accident

Morbi bridge accident case has reached the Supreme Court. A petition has been filed in the court and a demand has been made to appoint a judicial commission under the supervision of the retired judge and conduct an inquiry. Apart from this, the petition has sought directions to the state governments to form a committee for a survey of old and risky monuments, and bridges.
