Mumbai, Feb 23 (IANS) The inaugural edition of a literary festival "Lit o Fest", that begins here Feb 28, will touch upon the topics of decline of Parsi population, relevance of Hindi in today's time and beauty of Urdu in poetry, organisers said Monday.
The festival will have speakers from the world of literature, theatre and Bollywood that includes prominent names like lyricist Gulzar and Javed Akhtar, actor Cyrus Broacha and writer Rakshanda Jalil.
Interesting sessions include a talk on "Parsi Going Extinct", "Hindi - How Popular?", "Progressive Writers' Movement", "Lafzee e Bayan - The beauty of Urdu Language poetry" and "Galib ek Dastan".
There will also be "mushaira" and "Jugal bandi", along with live music sessions.
The two-day festival will conclude March 1.
