'No one should take the law in their own hands'

On the Sambhal incident, Union Minister Jayant Singh Chaudhary said, "The Supreme Court should decide. I think the Places of Worship Act has its sanctity and the Ayodhya verdict and the Supreme Court have also laid down some paths. So now it is up to the Supreme Court what to do. Make guidelines on that. No one should take the law into their own hands."

'There will be no second survey'

Advocate Shakeel Ahmed Waseem, representing the Shahi Jama Masjid Committee, said, "We appeared in court on behalf of the mosque and requested that copies of documents related to the case be given to us and the court ordered the same. The survey report was not submitted today. The survey team has sought an extension of time to submit the report. Now there will be no other survey (of the mosque)."

Chandrashekhar Azad said this.

On the Sambhal incident, Azad Samaj Party national president Chandrashekhar Azad said, "We have great expectations from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has consistently worked to stop the wrongdoings of the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh. We believe that the Supreme Court will help stop the atrocities that are happening. An amendment bill should come in Parliament regarding this. An amendment bill should come in 2024 regarding the Places of Worship Act and the shortcomings of the previous bill should be removed."
