The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has announced the National Sports Awards 2025, recognizing outstanding athletes, coaches and organizations for their contribution to Indian sports.
A total of 17 athletes have been selected for the Arjuna Award 2025, while three coaches have been chosen for the Dronacharya Award. The selections were made based on recommendations from a committee headed by former Supreme Court Justice (Retired) Arun Kumar Mishra.

The Arjuna Award recognizes athletes who demonstrate outstanding sporting performances along with qualities such as leadership, sportsmanship and discipline.

I. Arumanayagam from football has been selected for the Arjuna Award (Lifetime).
The lifetime honor recognizes former athletes who have made significant contributions to sports and continue to support and promote sporting activities after their active careers.
