Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is lodged in Patiala Jail in the 1988 road rage case, was suddenly brought to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala for a medical checkup on Monday morning. He was kept in Patiala Central Jail on May 20 after the Supreme Court sentenced him to one-year rigorous imprisonment.
At the same time, because of Sidhu's health, the board of doctors will present his diet plan in court today. Sidhu's lawyer had sought a special diet for him citing his health. On the appeal of the lawyer, the court wrote a letter to the jail authorities.
After this, the court asked the medical superintendent of Rajindra Hospital to prepare a diet plan from the board of doctors. Let us tell you, Sidhu has a liver problem. Their blood is also thick. He is dependent on indigenous recipes and a special diet.
At the same time, Sidhu is in barrack number ten in the jail. Sidhu has five prisoners in this barracks. It is being told that Sidhu is in a poetic style. He often talks with his colleagues in a poetic style. Sidhu also took a walk after getting up in the morning the previous day. Tension was also visible on his face.
On the other hand, the Punjab Jail Department has categorically rejected the allegations against the Jail Department in Navjot Singh Sidhu's case. A spokesman of the department said that there has been no negligence on the part of the jail administration and the protocol is being strictly followed by the department.
Let me tell you, reports were going on in some places that along with Sidhu, there is also Inderjit Singh, a former police officer accused of drug smuggling in the barracks. Police say this is wrong. Inderjit Singh has been kept away from Sidhu's barracks from the very beginning.
