Navy Day 2021: Now Enemies Are Not Well! Navy chief said 10-year roadmap ready, India will soon have indigenous unmanned systems

On Friday, just a day before the Indian Navy Day, the new Chief of the Navy, Admiral R Hari Kumar, held a press conference. During this, he said that the Indian Navy will soon have indigenous unmanned systems operating in air and underwater. A 10-year roadmap is ready for this.

 

 

Apart from this, he mentioned the northern borders and the challenges posed by the corona epidemic. Along with this, he also spoke on many other issues. He said that the Indian Navy is ready to meet both challenges. He said that out of 39 warships and submarines being built for the Indian Navy, 37 are being built in India under 'Make in India', which reflects our quest for a self-reliant India.

The Navy Chief further said that we have taken measures to provide additional opportunities to women officers. The first female provost officer joined in March this year. The Navy is gearing up to induct women in various capacities. Hari Kumar said that the creation of the Department of Military Affairs (DMA), along with the creation of the post of CDS, is the biggest reform in the Army since independence. It enables faster decision-making and bureaucracy. Let us tell you that Indian Navy Day is celebrated every year on 4th December.

 

Significantly, the new Chief of the Indian Navy, Admiral R Hari Kumar, took charge on Tuesday. After assuming office, he took blessings from his mother. He had said that his first duty is to protect the maritime borders. R Hari Kumar is the 25th Chief of the Indian Navy. Before him, Karambir Singh was the Navy Chief. Singh retired after more than 41 years of service.
