Union Minister for Road, Transport, and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that ethanol is the fuel of the future. Not only is it a mainstay of environmental protection, but it is also quite inexpensive. He told that at present green hydrogen has become a necessity and he uses this vehicle. He is trying to bring a vehicle that runs on 100% bioethanol.
His target is to take the ethanol economy to Rs 5 lakh crore, which has full potential. The Union Minister was addressing the students at the first convocation of the World University of Design (WUD) at Rajiv Gandhi Education City Rai in Sonipat, Haryana on Thursday.
He said that he had reached Via Road from Delhi and was disappointed to see the condition of National Highway (44) near Kundli. People must have faced problems with this, but the delay in construction was due to the farmers' agitation. So he apologizes on her behalf. He said that a high-level meeting has been called on June 14 regarding NH-44 from Delhi to Chandigarh.
In which important decisions can be taken to modernize the highway. The Union Minister said that his priority is to promote the use of ethanol. This will also increase the income of the farmers. Crop residue (parali) can be used for this. Instead of polluting the stubble by burning it, it should be sold to those industrial units which make bioethanol from it.
Gadkari said that food, fertilizer, and fuel are the major problems of today's era, towards which the whole world economy is turning. Efforts should be made to strengthen the country in this direction with new ideas, for which he is moving forward.
He said that just as many-story buildings are being built, similarly flyovers can also be built. Such efforts have been successful in Poona. Apart from MP Ramesh Kaushik and MLA Nirmal Chaudhary, VC of the university Sanjay Gupta was present with him.
Sea-port and river port will be built on the lines of the airport
The Union Minister said that he is making special efforts to remove the filth of Yamuna. He said that efforts have been made to purify 40 rivers for Rs 28,000 crore. There are plans to make the river travel easier from Sonipat to Delhi, Mathura, Agra, Etawah, Prayagraj, and beyond. 70 percent of work has been completed in this direction. There is a plan to land a plane in the Yamuna, from where one can travel anywhere. Sea-port and river port will be built on the lines of the airport.
need to use waste
Nitin Gadkari said that money is received from the West. He told that he has done this in his city. He earned Rs 300 crore by selling the dirty water from the toilets. The industrial units of Sonipat-Panipat also require a lot of water. Work can be done in this direction here as well.
This type of recycling project has also been successful in Mathura. He said that crash barriers can be made from bamboo (bass). About 200 tonnes of bamboo is produced in one acre. Pickles and cloth are also made from bamboo, which will benefit the rural economy. He also gave many other examples of this type, in which steel made from glass fiber was prominently included. Increase the quality while reducing the cost of production by using waste material.
