
NMMSS Scholarship: The Ministry of Education has once again extended the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) 2022-23. The last date to apply NMMSS 2022 is November 30, 2022. Candidates can now apply till November 30 on the official website of the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)- Scholarships.gov.in.
The application date was extended even before
The NMMSS application process was earlier to be completed by September 30, but it was extended till October 15. But once again it was extended till 31 October. Now again it has been done till 30 November. This will benefit those students who could not apply due to some reason.
NMMSS Scholarship is given to meritorious students from economically weaker sections, to prevent their dropping out of class 8 and encourage them to continue their education at the secondary level so that they can continue their studies further.
12 thousand get an annual scholarship
About one lakh students are selected every year through the NMMSS scheme. After this, the state government conducts examinations, and based on this examination, the amount of scholarship is provided to the students. The amount of the scholarship is Rs 12 thousand per year.
Eligibility for NMMSS Scholarship Scheme
Students whose parent's income does not exceed Rs.3,50,000 per annum.
To appear in the selection test for getting the scholarship, the students have to obtain a minimum of 55% marks in the class VIII examination.
Reserved category candidates (SC/ST) will get a 5% relaxation in marks.
To apply for NMMS scholarship, students must fulfill all the eligibility conditions.

First of all, go to the official website of the National Scholarship Portal.
Here you will reach a new page where you have to read the instructions and tick the undertaking.
After that click on Continue.
Now a new page will open in front of you, where you will have to enter all the required details.
After that click on the register option.
By following this process you can apply for an NMMS scholarship.
