In a commentary, the ruling Workers' Party newspaper Rodong Sinmun warned against receiving economic aid from "imperialists" who use aid as a trap to "rob and subjugate" recipient countries and engage in their internal politics. 700 prisoners died due to famine and diseases

The level of food production is falling in North Korea
