NSA Ajit Doval: India and Indonesia continue to suffer from terror and separatism, NSA said – cross-border terrorism remains a threat

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Tuesday lauded the role of Ulema in promoting mutual peace and social harmony between India and Indonesia. Addressing a program at the India Islamic Cultural Center in Delhi, he said, both countries (India and Indonesia) have been victims of terrorism and separatism. While we have overcome the challenges to a large extent, cross-border terrorism and ISIS-sponsored terrorism continue to be a threat.

During this, Doval also expressed condolences to the people killed in the recent earthquake in Indonesia. The NSA said, "We are all pained by the loss of life and property due to the recent earthquake in Indonesia. We extend our deepest sympathies to the earthquake victims and their families. We wish the injured a speedy recovery. India stands with Indonesia in this hour of grief.
