On the question of Uniform Civil Code in Bihar, JDU's bluntness to BJP - there is no question of Nitish being CM

Posted on 25th Apr 2022 10:17 am by rohit kumar

After Uttarakhand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is now preparing to implement the Common Civil Code in Uttar Pradesh as well. In other BJP-ruled states including Bihar, the demand for this from BJP is increasing. Meanwhile, the Janata Dal-United (JDU), which is part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) along with the BJP, has bluntly said that there is a government of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar and Uniform Civil Code at any cost during his Chief Minister. There is no question of implementing it. This big statement has been given by JDU Parliamentary Board Chairman Upendra Kushwaha.

Retaliated on Sushil Modi's statement

It may be noted that during the Veer Kunwar Singh Vijayotsav celebrations in Jagdishpur, Bhojpur, former Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Modi had said that Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the BJP-ruled states will have Uniform Civil Code. will be implemented. After this statement of Sushil Modi, Upendra Kushwaha has given this strong statement.

It will not be implemented under the Nitish government

Questioning the need for Uniform Civil Code in Bihar, Kushwaha said that the country is running by the Constitution and will continue with it in the future also. When there is no need for Uniform Civil Code in Bihar, then from where does the question arise? This will not be implemented in Bihar during Nitish Kumar's government. On the question of how JDU alone can decide on this big issue in the NDA government, Upendra Kushwaha bluntly said that his party cannot compromise with its policies. Whatever be the case, the question of the Uniform Civil Code does not arise.

BJP in favor of Uniform Civil Code

It is to be known that in Bihar, BJP and JDU have been coming face to face in many cases. BJP has been besieging its government on the issue of law and order in Bihar. The latest case is of Uniform Civil Code. BJP leader and minister Janak Ram is in favor of implementing the Uniform Civil Code in the entire country including Bihar. On the opposition of JDU on this issue, he says that he is hopeful that allies will agree to it.
