Pakistan Flood: 6 lakh people affected by floods in Pakistan have been affected by various diseases, and the figures from the UN and government are shocking.

The situation is getting worse now with the floods in Pakistan. Now there is a danger of infection in the flood-affected areas. More than 6.60 people have been affected by this flood across the country. These figures are from July to September. The figures of the Government of Pakistan show that 149551 people are suffering from diarrhea and 142739 are suffering from skin-related diseases. Not only this, 132485 people are suffering from respiratory disease, and about 50 thousand people are suffering from malaria and malaria.

 

The figures presented by the Health Minister of Sindh province are shocking. According to him, 47 thousand women are pregnant and living in different camps in Sindh province alone. Not only this, 1.34 lakh people are suffering from diarrhea and about 44 thousand people are suffering from malaria. The latest figures of the government are showing that out of the people rescued from flood-affected areas and kept in isolated places, about 1 lakh people are suffering from skin problems. Due to the flood, snakes and other poisonous creatures living inside the ground have also come out.

In Sindh province alone, about 101 people have been bitten by snakes. At the same time, 500 people have been bitten by stray dogs. Not only this, but people in the flood-affected areas in Sindh are also facing difficulty in breathing. Sindh is one of those provinces in the country where the flood situation has taken a very dire form. Millions of people have been rendered homeless due to this flood. The Knighted Nation Population Fund (UNFPA) report states that around 6.50 lakh women are pregnant in flood-affected areas across the country, out of which 73,000 will be delivered this month. The UN report said that better health facilities are needed in these areas soon.

 

The UN report is not limited to this, but it has also expressed concern over the increase in gender-based violence in Pakistan. According to the report, about 10 lakh houses have been damaged due to this flood. The Government of Pakistan has declared a National Emergency because of the threat of floods.
