Pakistan's security forces killed 25 out of 35 Islamist terrorists hiding in an anti-terrorist center in the northwestern city of Bannu. Let us tell you that a group of officers was taken hostage by the members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, because of which the commandos of the Special Group Service started their operation today. During this, a hostage and two commandos of the Pakistan Army were killed.

It is noteworthy that some people were held hostage for two days in the anti-terrorist center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Army commandos stormed the compound on 20 December and killed all the terrorists. Army spokesman Major General Ahmed Sharif told local TV channel Geo News late on 20 December that 7 of the 35 hiding terrorists surrendered and the other three who tried to escape have been arrested. At the same time, a hostage and a security officer died during the raid.

Defense Minister confirmed

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has confirmed that all the terrorists of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) who took hostages at the Counter-Terrorism Department Center in Bannu were killed in an operation by the Pakistan Army. Let us tell you that on December 18, at Bannu police station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, TTP took guns from 7 security personnel on duty and took them hostage. The army spokesman said that the army tried hard to get the terrorists to surrender unconditionally. They weren't ready.

explosion heard around the center

Residents said that explosions could be heard coming from around the center on 20 December. The militants mostly belonged to Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), an umbrella group of Sunni Islamist and sectarian groups that aligns itself with the Afghan Taliban. The TTP has stepped up attacks in recent weeks since last month announcing the end of an Afghan Taliban-brokered ceasefire with Islamabad.
