
Former Pakistan Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said that he is ready to hold talks with Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir for the betterment of the country. ARY News gave this information on Friday.
Talking to media persons at his Zaman Park residence, Imran Khan said he would not surrender to anyone and was not fighting the establishment but if no one was ready to talk, he could do nothing.
He challenged his political rivals to prove the charges of corruption against him and his wife. He asked the army chief to find out about any corruption cases against him. ARY News reported that he alleged that Qamar Javed Bajwa backstabbed him and should face court martial.
He further said that Mohammed bin Salman is still in touch with him. The former Prime Minister said that he has recorded a video message regarding the threat to his life which is present abroad.
Pakistan-based Dawn newspaper reported that earlier on Tuesday a non-bailable arrest warrant was issued against Imran Khan.
According to Dawn, just hours before the warrant was issued, Khan secured bail in two other cases related to prohibited money and terrorism as he appeared in courts at the Islamabad judicial complex accompanied by a large number of party workers.
Explain that the PTI chief was to appear in Islamabad courts in four different cases.
Khan was scheduled to be arraigned today in the Toshakhana case, but his lawyer requested the court to exempt him from the hearing as he has to appear in several other courts. According to the Dawn report, his indictment had been deferred twice earlier.
Pakistan's Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal adjourned the hearing till March 7.
Soon after the setback, Imran Khan moved to the Islamabad High Court, which granted him anticipatory bail till March 9 in the attempt to murder case.
According to a Geo News report, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recently summoned the PTI chief on March 9 in the Toshakhana case.
The PTI chairman has been asked to appear before the anti-corruption watchdog on March 9 at 2:30 pm.
