Pakistan won the tri-series before the World Cup: beat Bangladesh-New Zealand; Rizwan, Babar, and Nawaz won

Just 2 days before the T20 World Cup, Pakistan has got a big victory. He has won the tri-series. This victory will boost his morale in the mega event going to start in Australia. This victory also means for Team India, as they have to play their first match against Pakistan on 23 October.

 

Pakistan beat New Zealand by 5 wickets in the final of the 3-nation series on Friday. In Christchurch, he first restricted the Kiwis to 163 runs thanks to accurate bowlers from young pacer Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf (2-2 wickets). After that, the runs needed for victory were made based on useful innings of Mohammad Rizwan (34), Mohammad Nawaz (38), and Haider Ali (31) with three balls remaining.

Pakistan's Mohammad Nawaz was adjudged man of the final for his double performance. He scored 38 runs. Also took a wicket. At the same time, Michael Bracewell, who took 8 wickets for New Zealand, was named Player of the Series.

1st match: On 7 October, beat Bangladesh by 21 runs. This was Pakistan's first win in the tournament. Pakistan scored 167 runs. Bangladesh was dismissed for 146.

 

Second match: On 8 October in Christchurch, the team achieved a 6-wicket win over New Zealand. He achieved the target of 148 for four wickets in 10 balls.

 

Third match: On October 11, the team had to face the defeat of 9 wickets. He was defeated by New Zealand. Pakistan scored 130.

 

Fourth match: On October 13, a thrilling match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was played on the same ground in Christchurch. Pakistan won by 7 wickets in one ball.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson also appeared in the final match. He played a half-century innings of 59 runs at a strike rate of 155.26. This is his 15th fifty of this format. Williamson has scored his first half-century in the last ten innings. These also include 4 ODI matches.
