Weather Update Today mercury has started rising in all the states of North India. Summer has knocked in many states of the country including Delhi, UP, Bihar, and Punjab. Due to strong sunlight during the day, the temperature has seen an increase of up to 4 degrees. According to IMD, the people of Delhi may have to bear strong sunlight even today.

 

Mercury will reach 41 degrees in Delhi

The last day was the hottest in Delhi, in many areas the mercury reached 40 degrees. In the next four days, the weather in the capital is likely to change rapidly and become hot. According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury can go up to 41 degrees in a few days and there is a possibility of heat stroke.

 

Chance of rain in UP

According to the Meteorological Department, in the next few days, many districts of UP may get immediate relief from the heat. There is a possibility of light rain in the western district areas of UP on 18 and 19 April.

According to IMD, a heat wave is likely to prevail in Gangetic West Bengal from April 14 to 17. At the same time, there is a possibility of a heat wave in Bihar between 15 and 17 April.

 

The temperature reached beyond 43 in Odisha's Baripada

Odisha's Baripada recorded 43.5 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature in the state this month. The Meteorological Department has also issued warnings specifically for April 14 and 15.

 

With this, hot weather conditions may continue in Odisha for the next 3 days. Due to this, the Meteorological Department has advised the citizens to take precautionary measures.

 

Chance of rain in these states

There is a possibility of rain in many parts of the country. Light rain and thundershowers may occur in some areas of Maharashtra, Konkan, and Goa. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light rain in the southern regions of Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat. At the same time, there may be showers in the Western Himalayas as well.
