Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will also participate in this program through an online medium. Indian Foreign Ministry has told that JP Singh, Joint Secretary of the Ministry has reached Doha, he will attend this inauguration ceremony as an Indian representative.

India is also believed to be keenly interested in the Afghanistan-Taliban peace talks and wants the negotiations between the two to be successful.

The talks were to begin in March after the first US-Taliban security agreement in February. But disagreements over the exchange of a controversial prisoner and continuing violence in Afghanistan hindered the next stages of this dialogue.

Why is negotiation important for India?

India is helping Afghanistan to rise again, but some experts say that "the strengthening of the Taliban in Afghanistan may be a matter of concern for India".
