Prime Minister Narendra Modi today chaired a meeting of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Society amid decreasing cases of corona in the country. PM Modi attended the event via video conference. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan also attended this meeting. Eminent scientists, industrialists, and senior officials also participated in it.

 

During his address, PM Modi said that today India wants to become self-reliant and empowered in every direction, from agriculture to astronomy, from disaster management to defense technology, from vaccine to virtual reality, from biotechnology to battery technologies. He also said that this crisis of Corona may have slowed down the pace, but even today our resolve is – Self-reliant India, Strong India

 

During this, PM Modi said that today India is showing the way to the world in the field of sustainable development and clean energy. Today, from software to satellites, we are also accelerating the development of other countries, playing the role of a major engine in the development of the world.

According to the information shared by the Prime Minister's Office, the Society meets every year.
