PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of semiconductor projects today, and urged the youth to participate in the program

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the program 'India's Teched: Chips for Developed India' today (Wednesday) through video conferencing. He will lay the foundation stone for three semiconductor projects worth about Rs 1.25 lakh crore at Dholera Special Investment Region in Gujarat, and Sanand, Morigaon in Assam.

 

These projects will strengthen the semiconductor ecosystem and create employment opportunities for the youth.

 

Thousands of students will participate in the program

PM Modi posted on X that this will be a special day in India's efforts to become a major center of semiconductors. Students from more than 60,000 institutions will participate in the program.

 

The PM urged the youth to participate in the program. The Prime Minister's Office said that PM Modi will also participate in the outreach program for loan assistance to entrepreneurs from deprived sections through video conferencing on Wednesday.

 

PM will approve loan assistance to one lakh entrepreneurs

He will also interact with the beneficiaries of various government schemes. He will also launch the Prime Minister's Social Upliftment and Employment-Based Public Welfare (PM-SURAJ) National Portal and approve loan assistance to one lakh entrepreneurs from the deprived sections of the country.

 

The Prime Minister will also distribute Ayushman health cards and PPE kits to Safai Mitras (sewer and septic tank workers) under the National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem (Namaste).
