PM Modi: 'Work has been done to strengthen the judicial system in the last eight years' said PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Vigyan Bhawan today to attend the inaugural session of the first All India District Legal Services Authority conference. Chief Justice of Supreme Court NV Raman was also present in this program. PM Modi also gave his address after the inauguration program. PM Modi said that this time is the time of the elixir of our independence. This is the time for those resolutions which will take the country to new heights in the next 25 years. Ease of doing business and ease of life are equally important in this nectar journey of the country.

 

Work has been done to strengthen the judicial system of the country in the last eight years: PM Modi

 

PM Modi further said that as important as access to the justice system is for any society, equally important is the justice delivery system. Judicial infrastructure also plays an important role in this. In the last eight years, work has been done at a brisk pace to strengthen the judicial infrastructure of the country. 9,000 crore rupees are being spent to modernize it.

 

 

Virtual courts are being started in the country: PM Modi

 

PM Modi said that virtual courts are being started in the country under the e-courts mission. The 24-hour court has started functioning for offenses like traffic violations. Video conferencing infrastructure is also being expanded in the court for the convenience of the people.

 

Right to justice should be given to the weakest of the weak: PM

 

PM Modi said that this belief in justice makes every countryman realize that the systems of the country are protecting his rights. With this thinking, the country also established the National Legal Services Authority. So that even the weakest of the weak can get the right to justice.

 

Common citizens should be aware of their rights in the Constitution: PM

 

PM Modi said that a common citizen should be aware of his rights in the Constitution, and be aware of his duties. He should be aware of his constitution, and constitutional structures, rules, and solutions. Technology can play a big role in this too.

 

The problem of under-trial prisoners in the country should be solved: PM

 

PM Modi said that sensitivity has been shown many times in the past by the Supreme Court on the humanitarian issue related to under-trial prisoners in the country. How many prisoners are there who are in jails for years waiting for legal aid? Our District Legal Service Authority can take up the responsibility of providing legal aid to these prisoners.
