Jeevan Baba alias Jeet (45), who committed suicide on Thursday after shooting another Baba at Swami Adgadanand Maharaj's Paramhans Ashram in Sakateshgarh, Mirzapur, had killed Diwan's son in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh in 1998. In this case, he was lodged in Gwalior Central Jail. After some time he ran away from there. He was about 21 years old at the time of the murder.

Jeevan Baba was a resident of village Chitri in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. His original name was Jitendra Vaish. Jitendra's brother Bhim told that his father Sitaram was working in the police department. The family members used to live in the Shivpuri police line. Bhim and Shivpuri district's countryside kotwali in-charge Vikas Yadav told that one day in the year 1998, Sanju, son of Dewan Ramavatar Bhadauria, working in the SP office, caught Jitendra's father's collar while intoxicated.

Enraged by this, Jitendra along with his associates killed Sanju by stabbing him in the police line. In this case, he remained in Shivpuri jail for two years. After this Jitendra was sent to Gwalior Central Jail. Stayed here for two years and one day escaped by climbing the prison wall.

The police kept searching but could not find it. After this, Jitendra started visiting Paramhansa Ashram occasionally. After a few days, he started living in the ashram itself. Cases of assault are also registered against him in the police stations of Shivpuri district. He was thrown out of the ashram six months ago after he threw oil on Ashish and others.

In 1998, 12 people were accused in the Sanju Bhadauria murder case. There was also a Jitendra Vaish in it. Jitendra (Jeevan) was convicted in 2000. The warrant was also issued in 2009.
