Political excitement has intensified regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed visit to Jammu and Kashmir on April 24. PM Modi will reach Palli village in Samba district on National Panchayati Raj Day. This village will get the status of being a carbon-free solar panchayat. Prime Minister Modi will address the members of more than thirty thousand Panchayati Raj Institutions of Jammu and Kashmir from here. Political experts say that the PM will hit many targets with one arrow from his visit. Neighboring countries will tell 'Pakistan' the benefit of the abrogation of Article 370. Along with this, those countries of the world, which we're looking at the abrogation of Article 370 with suspicion, will also be answered. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also prepare an election platform for the 'BJP' because of the assembly elections of Jammu and Kashmir which are likely to be held this year. Right now the process of delimitation commission is going on there.
The economic condition of Jammu and Kashmir is strong
PM Modi celebrated Diwali with jawans in Rajouri on 27 October 2019 after the abrogation of Article 370, the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019. After this, in November 2021, the Prime Minister reached the Nowshera sector of the Jammu division to celebrate the festival of Diwali with the soldiers of the army. Brigadier Anil Gupta (Retd), an expert in Jammu and Kashmir affairs, says that PM Modi has been keeping a close watch on Jammu and Kashmir from the beginning. They are aware of the situation there before the abrogation of Article 370. He has strengthened the economic condition of Jammu and Kashmir. The security landscape has also changed to a great extent. Now the era of happiness has started here. The Prime Minister wants to realize this in his visit.
The number of tourists coming to Jammu and Kashmir now has never come before. Hotels are full in Srinagar or other tourist places in Kashmir. Heavy investment has been made in infrastructure here. The opposition parties had spread the illusion that after the abolition of Article 370, outsiders would come and settle here. They will take over their lands. Nothing like this happened. PM Modi's team has been working here for many years. Now the PM himself wants to take stock of the development works here.
The final report of the delimitation commission is being prepared
Responding to a question about whether elections are also a motive for Modi's visit, Brigadier Gupta said, "There is no such thing. However, elections are yet to be held in Jammu and Kashmir. This cannot be denied. As Anil Gupta, the final report of the Delimitation Commission has not yet been prepared here. By the way, PM Modi can give any announcement or message regarding the assembly elections (likely this year) in his speech.
Anil Gupta says, when Article 370 was abolished here, apart from the opposition parties, there was a sharp reaction from the neighboring country of Pakistan as well. Parliamentarians from many countries had visited Jammu and Kashmir. Such an illusion was spread that democracy has ended here. Everything is under the guard of security forces. Now PM Modi can give them the answer that there has been more prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir than before. There is a queue of tourists.
Pakistan's new Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has written a letter to PM Modi saying that Jammu and Kashmir and other disputed issues should be resolved for the peace and development of both the countries. PM can reply to Pakistan during his visit. One can mention the prosperity of the present Jammu and Kashmir. Here other countries want to invest now. All this atmosphere has persisted only after August 2019. Had something gone wrong here, Pakistan would not have been so quick to give way for India's wheat to be sent to Afghanistan.
Can make a big announcement on industrial investment
PM Modi had earlier visited Jammu and Kashmir in February 2019. He had initiated projects worth thousands of crores by visiting Jammu, Srinagar, and Ladakh. PM can make a big announcement on industrial investment for Jammu and Kashmir during his visit. Along with starting industrial investment of about Rs 70,000 crore, many power projects can be laid and inaugurated. Panchayati Raj system started in Jammu and Kashmir only a few years back. PM Modi can present this arrangement as an exemplary example. There has been a transformation in the villages of Jammu and Kashmir. A 500 kV capacity solar plant has been installed at Palli village. From here the houses coming under the Palli Panchayat will get electricity.
On the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address panchayats across the country virtually from the village of Palli. Because of PM Modi's visit, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has made several visits. Apart from this, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla and other senior officials have also reached Jammu and Kashmir. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said in Parliament that elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir after the delimitation work is completed.
