Delhi Capitals opener Prithvi Shaw has been fined 25 percent of the match for violating IPL rules. On Sunday, Delhi Capitals' match was with Lucknow Giants. Delhi had to face defeat in this match. Opener Prithvi Shaw was dismissed after scoring 5 runs in 7 balls. According to a statement issued by the IPL after the match, Shaw was found guilty of a Level 1 offense under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. Shaw also accepted his mistake. Actually, under Level-1, the player is fined or punished when he makes any kind of gesture against the opposition player or umpire. Or someone uses abusive words for them. With whom Shaw misbehaved, IPL has not disclosed in its released statement.

In the 45th match of IPL 2022, Lucknow defeated Delhi by 6 runs. DC had a target of 196 runs, which the team could not achieve, and scored 189 runs in 20 overs. Rishabh Pant (44) was the top scorer, while Mitchell Marsh scored 37 runs.
