It should be noted that Anil Shukla was posted in various positions in Delhi and later went to the National Investigation Agency on central deputation. Where he investigated several terrorist cases, including the well-known Pulwama terror attack in which more than 40 CRPF personnel were killed. During the investigation of this case, many leaders and terrorists of Jammu and Kashmir were sent to Tihar Jail, many of whom are still present in Tihar Jail.

After completing 6 years in the NIA, he had decided to return to the Delhi Police and in the last days of his tenure, the NIA handed him an investigation into Mumbai's much-talked-about Antilia case. In this case, Mumbai Police Inspector Sachin Waje was arrested under the direction of Anil Shukla and Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh also had to resign during the investigation of the case. After the completion of the term, Anil Shukla reported back to the Union Home Ministry, from where orders have been issued to him to go to Andaman Nicobar under a new posting.
