Putin will not join G20: Decision was taken to avoid taunts from Western leaders; Russian army retreats from Kherson, Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend the G20. According to the news agency AFP, Putin will not attend the G20 summit to be held on November 15-16 in Bali, Indonesia. He will be replaced virtually by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. However, Yulia Tomskaya, the Chief of Protocol of the Russian Embassy in Indonesia, said – we are trying that Putin can also join virtually.

Putin's decision not to go to Bali to join the G20 has taken at a time when the Russian army is lagging in the war with Ukraine. The Kremlin is also looking for ways to avoid condemnation from Western countries. Leaders of many western countries including India and America will be involved in the G20. These countries have been against the war since the beginning, but even after 9 months, the war continues. Russia is condemned for this.

Putin instructed the army to return from Kherson

On November 9, Putin withdrew his army from Kherson, Ukraine. Five days ago, a curfew was imposed here, taking the most dangerous action after the war. The fighting here was very intense because this city means a lot to Russia. Indeed, Russia wants to capture the ports of the Black Sea. The ports of Kherson are strategically important, as well as the trade route connecting the Mediterranean Sea also passes through here.

Apart from this, Kherson is a big ship manufacturer. Merchant Ships, Tankers, Container Ships, Icebreakers, and Architect Supply Ships are made here. Russia can increase its maritime power by including this part in Russia. Therefore, it is necessary to control them even for business. The withdrawal of Russian troops from here is being seen as Russia's defeat.

What is G20

There are 20 countries in the G20 Group Forum. It has developed and developed economies of the world. The 19 countries include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US, and the European Union (EU). Huh.

All these member countries together make up more than 80% of the world's GDP. The G20 is seen as an extension of the G7, a grouping of the world's most powerful countries. The G7 has France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, the US, and Canada.
