Ambala Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma said that during the imposition of this prohibition, taking pictures and videos of the boundary of the military base and its adjoining areas is prohibited.

 

Meanwhile, the Haryana Police has erected several nukes in residential areas near the military base and several police officers have also been seen patrolling. People are also being warned not to take pictures and make videos by standing on rooftops with loudspeakers. He has also warned of stern action against those who do so under the law. Hoardings have also been installed at many places to welcome fighter jets.

 

The Rafale aircraft is India's first major purchase of fighter jets in more than two decades. With the introduction of these aircraft, the combat capability of the Indian Air Force is expected to increase significantly.

 

India on 23 September 2016 signed a deal of Rs 59,000 crore to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets from French aerospace company Dassault Aviation. These aircraft will be inducted into Squadron Number 17 in the Indian Air Force on Wednesday afternoon, also known as 'Golden Arrows'.

 

However, ceremonies may be held around mid-August to formally induct these aircraft into the Indian Air Force which is expected to include Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the country's top military officers.
