Japan's Prime Minister Kishida suddenly left for Ukraine from India, met PM Modi in Delhi

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida arrived in New Delhi on 20 March on a two-day visit to India. From here he is now suddenly going on a tour of Ukraine. The news agency AFP gave this information.

 

Will meet Volodymyr Zelensky

According to the Associated Press, Fumio Kishida is on his way to Kyiv early Tuesday for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Japan's public television NHK showed Kishida riding a train from Poland to Kyiv. Hours after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, Kishida left for a surprise visit to Ukraine.

 

Only Kishida among G-7 leaders did not visit Ukraine

Japan is going to chair the G-7 summit in May. Kishida is the only G-7 leader who has not visited Ukraine. He was under pressure to visit Ukraine in his home country. Japan is keeping pace with the other G-7 countries in imposing sanctions on Russia and supporting Ukraine when Russia invades Ukraine. Kishida is expected to offer continued support for Ukraine during his meeting with Zelensky.

 

Biden also suddenly reached Ukraine

Earlier, US President Joe Biden suddenly reached Ukraine on a visit. He met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and assured all possible help. Biden had said that America stands with Ukraine.

 

Enjoyed golgappas and lassi with PM Modi

Strong bonding was seen between Fumio Kishida and PM Modi who reached New Delhi on an India tour. Both the Prime Ministers ate golgappas together and also made lassi. Kishida also extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the G-7 summit, which he promptly accepted. This visit will strengthen the mutual relations between the two countries.
