New Delhi, March 29 (IANS) Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has postponed an election rally scheduled to be held at Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday following the arrest of the party candidate from the constituency for threatening the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
"Rahul Gandhi's rally is being postponed. The next date for it will be decided later," said Pradeep Mathur, Uttar Pradesh Congress Legislature Party leader.
This decision comes after Congress' candidate from Saharanpur constituency Imran Masood was arrested earlier in the day for threatening BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Masood had in his speech threatened to "chop" Narendra Modi "into pieces".
