According to the Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rains for three days. At the same time, on the instructions of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, all the schools in the Gautam Budh Nagar district have been closed today. All schools from class one to class 12 in the district will remain closed.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in more than 22 states for the next three days. These include Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand including the entire North West India to Northeast and South India states.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, a red alert has been issued for heavy rains and thunderstorms in the coastal areas of Madhya Maharashtra, East Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Telangana, Royal Seema, and Andhra Pradesh. There has been a heavy loss of property due to cloudburst in Kullu. All major rivers including Ganga, Yamuna, Ghaggar, and Hindon are flowing above the danger mark and many areas are submerged in flood water. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Chandigarh.
