Rajkumar Hirani will be associated with the country\'s first story library \'The Source\', and will play the responsibility of creative mentor for budding writers

Rajkumar Hirani, one of the finest directors of Indian cinema, has now joined the country\'s first story library \'The Source\'. The Source Story will act as a bank for concepts and scripts where stories and ideas from across the length and breadth of the country will be explored. The Source will also act as a bridge between writers and filmmakers. The Source is started by Shikha Kapoor, Amit Chandra, and Prabhat Choudhary. Only original stories and ideas will be included in the source.

The first story has been sourced by Rajkumar Hirani stepping down as its Chief Creative Mentor. Scouts from Kashmir, North East, Hindi Heartland, Punjab, Bengal, Maharashtra, and the Southern States send stories and ideas to SOURCE\'s development team in Mumbai daily. These range from real stories to folk tales, rare human achievement stories, and rich mythology. The Source team lists these stories here. Industry people must subscribe to The Source to take advantage of its services. Members can select the story of their choice and contact its author.

Chief Creative Mentor Rajkumar Hirani said about this launch – “It is a very powerful idea and our industry needs it. The content pipeline is expanding rapidly and we as an industry need more and more ideas. Source has a system for finding creative ideas. I will continue to guide the creative team without being involved in the day-to-day functioning of the company.\"

Shailesh Kapoor, Founder, and CEO, of Ormax Media associated with The Source, says, “At Ormax Media, we have been testing scripts for films and series extensively over the past decade, but the association with The Source has been particularly special. Because it allows us to contribute to the development process from the very beginning to the deeper access or idea to the story and then to the script. Viewers\' understanding of content cannot be underestimated and I am delighted that The Source\'s leadership team is committed to harnessing audience inputs to develop great content for the Indian theatrical and streaming market.\"
