But this number is much more than our expectations. We are happy and very excited. We are very grateful that this happened with a film like Stree because it is a content-driven film.'
He has played many roles in films. Rajkumar Rao said about this, 'I try to select different characters. People should not say that Raj only does a particular kind of cinema. I have received a lot of love from the audience and they have accepted me as I am. I have not come from anywhere. My beginning was very simple. I did not grow up with money. I am one of his people. A lot of the messages I get say that it is like a personal victory, which is heartening."
The actor recalled his mother and said, "My family, especially my mother, was always with me. She used to support me and motivate me that it will work out and just be honest and be true to what you do."
