
Rajkummar Rao is very excited about the success of his recent horror-comedy film 'Stree 2'. It stars Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in the lead roles along with Rajkummar. It is a sequel to the 2018 hit film 'Stree'. The film has grossed Rs 386.15 crore in 11 days of its release at the Indian box office. 'Stree 2', directed by Amar Kaushik, is also making many new records. Recently Rajkummar Rao has talked about the success of the film.
The actor said, 'We were sure that the film would get a lot of love due to the love Stree 1 received. Stree has a huge fan following. I am also included in this, I am a big fan of Stree. But this number is much more than our expectations. We are happy and very excited. We are very grateful that this happened with a film like Stree because it is a content-driven film.'
He has played many roles in films. Rajkumar Rao said about this, 'I try to select different characters. People should not say that Raj only does a particular kind of cinema. I want to do comedy, drama, biopics, horror-comedy, action, everything. I do not want to limit myself to any one limit.' This decision to challenge himself with characters inspires him and keeps him busy in his work.
Rao has firmly established himself as a Bollywood superstar. But his journey was not easy. He said on this, 'There is a lot of gratitude. God is kind. I have received a lot of love from the audience and they have accepted me as I am. I have not come from anywhere. My beginning was very simple. I did not grow up with money. I am one of his people. A lot of the messages I get say that it is like a personal victory, which is heartening."
The actor recalled his mother and said, "My family, especially my mother, was always with me. She used to support me and motivate me that it will work out and just be honest and be true to what you do." Talking about the work front, after Stree 2, Rajkummar Rao will be next seen in the film 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' opposite Tripti Dimri.
