The way Russell came in he realized that the wicket didn't have much for the bowlers. After that, he started bowling the ball at a slow pace. The way Russell assessed the conditions immediately was eye-catching. Our conversation was amazing."
The KKR captain further said, “See when Narine comes to open, he knows that his job is to clear the infield. Today we were deliberating whether to get Narine to open or not, but he performed brilliantly. In a way, it was easy to bat. However, there was another pace in the wicket from the other end. We discussed this in the middle of the field and passed this information on to others as well."

Sunil Narine along with Phil Salt gave a blazing start to Kolkata and added 86 runs for the first wicket in just 6.3 overs. Narine played a stormy inning of 47 runs facing just 22 balls.
