At the same time, the share of regional languages has increased from 20% to 47%. Due to this, the number of translators has also doubled in 7 years. According to Forbes, by 2025 the translation industry in the world can reach $ 73.6 billion (Rs 6 lakh crore), which is currently $ 51.6 billion (Rs 4.27 lakh crore).

 

Its size in the country is about Rs 4,139 crore. Is. The introduction of OTT platforms in 2016 has also seen a boom in the industry due to dubbing and subtitling. According to New Morning Consult data, 83% of Indians prefer to watch foreign language films with dubbing or subtitles.

A maximum of 97.4% of people in UP are Hindi-speaking. Only 2.1% of people in Tamil Nadu speak Hindi, which is the lowest in the country.
