Rohini Court Shootout: Umang Yadav had sought a loan from a friend to bring the attackers

A preliminary probe into the Rohini court shootout case has revealed that the car in which both the attackers had come belonged to a friend of arrested accused Umang Yadav, who did not know why his car was taken.

 

Sources said on Sunday that the car belonged to gym trainer Jagdeep, which was used by Umang Yadav to drop both the attackers till the court on Friday. Umang Yadav, who was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Saturday, told the police during interrogation that his friend Jagdeep was not aware of his intention and did not even know for what purpose the car was being taken. Police said that Umang Yadav and Vinay were arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police in the late-night incident on Saturday.

Please tell that under trial prisoner Jitendra Mann Gogi was shot dead inside the Rohini courtroom on Friday by two men, Rahul and Jagdeep alias Jagga, in front of the judge. Both the attackers were also killed in retaliatory firing by the police.

 

 Delhi Police Commissioner visits Rohini Court

 

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana visited Rohini Court on Sunday. Two days back, three gangsters were killed in a shootout in the courtroom. Officials said that the police chief inspected the incident. According to the police, the crime branch team probing the incident had also gone to the courtroom to inspect the spot again.

 

Jailed gangster Jitendra Mann alias Gogi and two assailants were killed in a shootout in a room of the Rohini court on Friday. Video footage has exposed security lapses in the system. In these, it is seen that police personnel and lawyers are running after hearing the sound of firing from inside courtroom number 207, Northern Range Police Commissioner has been asked to investigate the matter and submit a report.
