Considering the level of Yashasvi Jaiswal (344 runs) and Jos Buttler (359 runs), the current season has been average for this opening pair.

The strongest aspect of the Royals is their bowling unit which has performed well for almost the entire season. Sandeep Sharma's economy rate of 8.07 in the death overs and Trent Boult's economy rate of 8.38 in the opening overs have been impressive for the team. The spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal has also impressed.
