Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to talk about ending the war in Ukraine but for this, the Western countries will have to accept some of Russia's demands. This was stated by the Kremlin office of the Russian President. According to the news agency AP, Russia has rejected the condition of withdrawal of forces from Ukraine. Has said that on this condition it does not accept the talks. Russia's response came after US President Joe Biden expressed his desire for direct talks with Putin.

Biden had expressed his desire to hold talks with President Putin

Biden has said that he is ready for talks with President Putin to end the Ukraine war. After talks with visiting French President Emmanuel Macron, the US President expressed his desire to hold talks with Putin at a joint press conference. But it was also said that that conversation is possible only after the end of the war in Ukraine, for which Putin does not seem ready at the moment.

Western countries are making way for talks with Russia

Biden had earlier called Putin a butcher in March and said he should not remain in power in Russia. Now that Ukraine is nine months into the war and all of Europe, including Ukraine, is in the grip of cold, the West is paving the way for talks with Russia. It is known that the Russian army is continuously attacking Ukraine's energy plants and Russia has stopped or greatly reduced the gas supply to most of the European countries. The US and other Western countries are increasing military and economic aid to Ukraine in these conditions.

Meanwhile, the Office of the President of Ukraine has said that 13,000 Ukrainian soldiers lost their lives in the war.

EU agrees to cap Russian oil price at $60

The European Union (EU) has agreed to a proposal to fix the price of crude oil exported through the sea at $ 60 per barrel so that Russia does not get money for war and moves towards an economic crisis. Now the challenge before the EU is to get this proposal accepted by all the member countries because many countries are still getting enough gas and oil from Russia and they do not want to spoil relations with Russia.
