Putin has two reasons for not ending the war

Therefore, as soon as Ukraine becomes a NATO member, Russia will be surrounded by NATO countries from all sides. This would give America the freedom to attack Russia directly.
Russia needs status
The second reason is status. Putin wants the same status that Russia had in the Soviet Union. Recently, Russia's economy has collapsed. After the Second World War, the Soviet Union was emerging as a major power. Russia wanted to dominate the European countries. Due to this, relations of Russia with European countries deteriorated. America wants to take advantage of this condition of Russia, so it wants Ukraine to become a member of NATO and the EU. With this America can emerge as the biggest power.
Russia should not target nuclear plants - President Emmanuel
