Russia-Ukraine war: Ukrainian MP praises PM Modi, appreciated Indian stance on war

Ukraine MP Vadim Halaichuk has praised PM Modi. He said that we are grateful for Indian PM Narendra Modi's phrase "This is not the era of war". The Ukrainian MP said that given India's strength and abilities economically, politically, and militarily, we are sure that Russia will have to hear this message.

Vadim Halaichuk said that unfortunately, he (the Russians) did not show any understanding, so we hope that the message will be repeated, making it clear to the Russians that they have no support to continue the war. Please tell that PM Modi had said in the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO) that this is not a period of war.

 

The war started a year ago

The Ukrainian MP said that when Ukraine woke up on the morning of 24 February last year, bombs started falling across the country. Russia demolished the infrastructure of citizens, as Russia believed that everyone in Ukraine had to scare and defeat Ukraine, but it was not achieved. He said that Ukraine is now strong.

 

There is no initiative in the conversation at the moment

Vadim Halaichuk said that with the help of the international community, we have to fight Russia. He said that we do not think Russia has shown any seriousness in stopping the attack. He said about the ceasefire that we do not see anyone interested in negotiating on the Russian side. He said that Putin's recent speech shows that Russia has no intention of starting a conversation.
