Embassies of many countries have started functioning again as soon as the Russian attacks in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv subside. Indian embassy will also start in Kyiv from today. Regarding this, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the Indian Embassy in Ukraine, which was temporarily operating from Warsaw (Poland), will resume its operations in Kyiv from May 17.

 

Turkey, on the other hand, has blocked the membership of Sweden and Finland in NATO. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says that if Sweden and Finland impose sanctions on Turkey, they will not approve their entry into NATO.

 

During a press conference in Ankara, he said that Swedish and Finnish diplomats should not bother to come to Turkey to persuade us. He said Sweden is a nest of terrorist organizations.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has indicated that he has no problem with Finland and Sweden joining NATO. On Monday, he said there was no direct threat to Russia from NATO expansion.
