Jaipur, March 3 (IANS) The verdict in the case relating to illegal possession and use of arms by actor Salman Khan has been deferred further as the court in Jodhpur on Tuesday partly accepted nine-year-old applications of the prosecution.
The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Anupama Bijlani also gave a last opportunity to the prosecution to produce the witnesses and records relating to the case.
"The court also ordered the prosecution to call four witnesses on March 10 as a last chance," Salman Khan's counsel Hastimal Saraswat said.
The court made it clear that no further chance would be given to the prosecution to produce witnesses.
Salman Khan and a few other Bollywood stars were accused of poaching blackbucks on the midnight of October 1-2, 1998 during the shooting of Hindi movie "Hum Saath Saath Hain".
Two blackbucks, a protected animal under the Wildlife Protection Act, were killed on the outskirts of Kankani village near Jodhpur.
Salman Khan is also alleged to have been carrying arms with expired license.
A police complaint was filed against him for being involved in hunting protected blackbucks.
The last of the 36 Rafale aircraft purchased from France also landed on Indian soil on Thursday.
