
Schools Reopen: On the first day of the new year, many states in the country were closed for months. Schools opened in Kerala, Karnataka, and Assam. The Covid-19 rescue guidelines are being strictly followed in the school. The schools are mostly attended by students from 9th to 12th. Significantly, schools were closed since March due to the Corona epidemic. Children are being taught from online classes. Earlier schools in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim have been partially opened.

Schools in Kerala open from today
Schools opened in Kerala 9 months later from 1 January. A teacher from Thiruvananthapuram said, 'It is heartening to see the students after such a long time. Only 10 students are allowed in the class. Rescue Guidelines are being followed from Corona.
Karnataka
Schools have also been opened in Karnataka from 1 January. Schools were opened in Bangalore for 10th and 12th classes. One student said, 'Offline class is better than online class. I am very happy to come to school. We are following the Covid-19 guidelines. Students will also be required to show a consent form signed by their parents, which will enable them to be a part of classes.
Assam
All schools and other educational institutions have reopened in Assam from 1 January. Although very few children attended school. No child came to a school in Guwahati. In Assam, institutions from primary schools to university level have been opened. Schools are being opened in Assam in a phased manner from September.
Jharkhand
High plus two schools of Jharkhand have been opened for students from December 21, in which students are being guided because of matriculation and intermediate exams. All 2337 government high schools plus two schools in Jharkhand have also opened on 1st January. The New Year holiday, which is on the first day of the year in schools, has been postponed. Earlier, the winter holidays from December 26 to December 31 were also canceled.
School closed in Mumbai till 15 January
Because of Corona's new strain in Mumbai, it has been decided to keep the school closed till January 15. Schools have been closed since the lockdown in Mumbai and students are studying online. BMC said that all schools and colleges will remain closed till January 15.
Bihar
The Bihar government has announced that state schools for students of classes 9 to 12 will re-open from January 4. Apart from state schools, government coaching centers, degree colleges, medical colleges, and engineering colleges will also be reopened.
Puducherry
Schools in Puducherry will hold classes for half day from January 4 from 10 am to 1 pm, and from January 18, there will be full-day classes. All basic safety standards will be adopted by the institutions. The schools were closed in March keeping in mind the guidelines of the Union Home Ministry.
Pune-
The city schools will be reopened in Pune from January 4. In the first phase, Covid-19 will take classes from 9th to 12th keeping in mind the rules of rescue.
Rajasthan-
The state has not yet issued any date for the reopening of the schools. However, the Rajasthan government may decide to reopen the schools in the first week of January. At the same time, the Delhi government has not yet taken any decision regarding the reopening of schools. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia says the schools will be reopened only after the Covid-19 vaccine is available.
