Shoaib Akhtar told which IPL team spent crores of rupees on Babar Azam

Pakistani cricketers were banned from participating in the Indian Premier League since 2008. Pakistani players were seen playing in the first season of IPL. Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar believes that Babar Azam could have played for the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL. Mumbai Indians team could not even reach the playoffs this time and finished last in the points table. Mumbai Indians, the most successful team in IPL history, have won a total of five titles, but haven't even made it to the playoffs for the last two seasons.

 

According to Geo News journalist Arfa Firoz Jake, 'If Shoaib Akhtar is to be believed, then Pakistan captain Babar Azam can play for the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL. Mumbai Indians can buy him as the most expensive player. Had Babar Azam played in the IPL, he would have proved to be the top star of the tournament.

 

Babar Azam leads the Pakistan team in all three formats. Babar Azam, who started his international career in 2015, has played a total of 40 Tests, 86 One Day Internationals, and 74 T20 Internationals. In all three formats, he has scored 2851, 4261, and 2686 runs respectively. Babar is currently considered one of the best batsmen in the world. Babar leads the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League. In this season of PSL, the Karachi Kings team led by Babar could not reach the playoffs.
