In a report released on Monday, it has been told that during the last four weeks, more than 1 lakh 49 thousand cases of corona infection were reported in America. At the same time, more than 50 lakh infection cases have been reported since the beginning of the year 2022.

In the report released regarding Covid-19 infection in America, it has been told that the infection of children has been about 19 percent of the total corona infection cases in the country. During the last week of April, more than 53 thousand cases of Covid-10 infection among children were reported. Which is about 60 percent more than the last two weeks.

 

Need to assess long-term effects of infection

 

This is the third consecutive weekly increase in reported child cases, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. There is an urgent need to collect more age-specific data to assess disease severity as well as potential long-term effects related to the new forms. The American Academy of Pediatrics says it is important to know the immediate effects of the pandemic on children's health. But it is also important that what are the long-term effects on the physical and mental health of children and youth due to corona infection.
