Agra Feb 6 (IANS) Six suspected cases of swine flu were detected in this Uttar Pradesh city Thursday, an official said Friday.
More than 60 cases have come to light in the state during the past few winter months, while four people have died.
In the latest, a junior doctor at the SN Medical College was admitted with H1N1 symptoms Thursday and his samples were sent to Delhi for tests.
"In all six samples have been sent to Delhi," an official said Friday.
Chief Medical Officer H.S. Danu visited the hospital and arranged for isolating the suspected patients.
However, doctors in Agra have advised patience and said not every case of cold or high fever should be taken as a signal for alarm.
"As temperature rises, the virus would be automatically controlled," said Kailash Saraswat, a homeopath in the city.
Also, as Agra is a tourist hub, health activist Anand Rai said visitors to the city should be monitored closely.
