This is Sri Lanka's biggest win over Afghanistan in ODIs. The Sri Lankan team, who lost in the first ODI, leveled the three-match ODI series 1-1.
Kusal Mendis hit seven fours and a six in his aggressive innings of 78 runs in 75 balls. Apart from him, Dimuth Karunaratne scored 52 runs in 62 balls and hit seven fours. With his innings, Sri Lanka made a big score of 323 runs for six wickets in 50 overs. Muhammad Nabi and Fareed Ahmed got two wickets each.
In response, Afghanistan's team lost the match by being reduced to 191 runs in 42.1 overs. Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi scored the most runs for the team. He hit six fours in his innings of 57 runs in 62 balls. Wanindu Hasaranga and Dhananjay de Silva took three wickets each for the hosts.
